Can someone please lend me their 4.6i chassis number ?

Hi all,

I am thinking of buying the 4.6i front and rear spoiler for my 2005 3.0D X5.

When i phoned my dealer thay said that hey couldnt order them without he last 7 digits of a 4.6i X5 chassis number!

Would someone who owns a 4.6i in the UK be so kind and lend me their last 7 digits of their chassis number?

Why do BMW insist on this? My wife had her entire front bumper nicked off her E46 a couple of years back and the Dealer told us the most likely reason was someone wanted MSport bumpers but could not have them on a non-MSport car as BMW will not allow owners to upgrade the trim!! Bloody stupid idea!!

You can jump on realOEM and get part numbers. Or call BMW Cotswold parts department 01432 375563 - they are really good at helping forum members out.

I have the part numbers, its just they wont let me buy them without a 4.6i chassis number!

Stupid though isnt it, its money in their pocket you would think!!

Oh and PM Bullethead - he sold his, but might have some paperwork with a chassis number.

I do always find it amusing when dealers do this as there really is no point.
