Loving it, but does this not cost an arm and a leg ...
I'm Indian so never pay too much for anything....lol
Negotiating is in my blood and it has only cost me a fraction of what should have been the normal costs involved.
I've been a pro negotiator most of my life and regardless of negotiating being part of your DNA you'd have to be very well connected indeed to get this sort of work done for less than £4-5K, based on some personal experience of an E39 re-paint. The labour cost is excessive for good workmanship.
Unless you plan to keep it forever, or have money to waste, great as it may look, it will never realise its cost back when you sell it. This without the interior refit too. I think the day you sell it will show a reduced market for it also, imo.
An interesting thread though all the same

Fair enough, but let's just say that the cost is way less than the bottom figure you have quoted...
Also, this is my project as well as my only car and is going to be with me until I have to shoot it...lol so I'm not worried about re-sale. I have been modding cars for as far back as i can remember so know that most modding costs will never come back, but then it's my only outgoing as I don't really drink, don't smoke and rarely go out, etc so it's all good.
Fair comments though...

The last person that said that to me got married and had a child about 2 years after a similar comment. He was an eternal dedicated batchelor with a passion for cars.

Repect for your enthusiasm and disposable income We are all different which is a good thing. I seek VFM these days over short (er) term gratification. I will continue to read with genuine interest
