BMW Value Service and E53 4.8iS

Hi all,
Can anyone confirm if 4.8 is included in the value service offering of BMW. My local dealer insists 4.6 and 4.8 aren't included but can't find any confirmation on BMW website. Website simply states different prices for v6 and v8 X5s. If 4.8 and 4.6 aren't included then they could simply say 4.4 instead of v8.

My local dealer informed me that the service for the 4.8 is discounted to £399. Not sure if that's value though. My indy can do it for just over half of that.

Hi Warsi,

No it isn't included unfortunately. It is clear in the small print, I read it when I was at the dealers 4 weeks ago dropping off my car (they still have it!! )

Was that Inspection 2? if yes then it is Value Service price for X5 v8 - see this link on BMW site for details - http://bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/owner/service_va ... html?cnr=2

Can anyone point to official BMW announcement including/excluding 4.8 from Value Service?

I specifically asked if the 4.8 was included in that price and assured that it was. My X was in for something else and I mentioned servicing as it's due soon. He then told me the price and that it was discounted to £399.
Inspection II , 60k+ mileage.

Still going to my Indy though
