Pairing Issue

Post by Chubby » Thu May 05, 2011 4:55 pm

Hi All,

First post on the new forum, having been a member on the old forum before it closed.

I'm pulling my hair out with a Bluetooth issue and have tried everything mentioned on this forum and others. Having had nearly 4 years of no Bluetooth issues I can no longer pair/use any phone. I did invest in a 13th Gen ULF module about 2-3 years ago but this no longer functions, i.e. no LEDs on dash. I've bought a used ULF from eBay and I now have a single red LED.

I follow the pairing instructions as I've always done but I never get the pairing message and the LEDs don't flash. So this is what I've done thus far:-

1. Replaced faulty ULF module, I now have a single red LED where there was none before (although VR worked)
2. Disconnected battery for 24 hours
3. Replaced fuse
4. Checked connections for the ULF
5. Checked cradle connections

Any ideas before I hand it to my local independent?

Does anyone live near Stafford with a Navcoder and would be willing to meet me to see if I can pair by bypassing the button?

Many thanks.

I'm sure the pairing button isn't working and that's the issue

not a solution to your problem mate, but im in the same boat... i managed to get it into pairing mode a few times a little while ago but couldnt actually pair my phone... left it for some time and recently tried again... having same problem as you now... seems as though the pairing button isnt working although all connections are good.... local bm specialist bypassed it for me using logitech..

I gave up with my BT years ago, invested in a Parrot and never looked back, just a shame you can't log 2 phones simultaneously to the Parrot !
