Hi Guys

I've read this how-to with interest and was wondering if the same results could be achieved with a network media player such as the product listed in the link below? :?

System Requirements

1. Portable hard drive or other USB storage device with supported video or audio content stored on it.
2. Standard or high definition television with HDMI or composite video connections

Can the resident Guru's comment?

Yes, this will work in the same way. The PS2 and WD will have the same phono cables coming out ofthem, ready to be accepted to the car.

Just need to source the 12V power supply for the unit and have the ability to switch the unit on and off. Hence the big IR extender blocker being talked about...

To add, as an alternative I just bought this for my parents and it is REALLY good! Again, issue is power... Being so small (size of a box of matches) you'll have no problem installing it somewhere up front. Comes with all the cables and remote.
