SAGA insurance.

Post by sapphireblack » Wed Apr 27, 2011 3:25 pm

Whom i join next month have just told me they insure all age groups not just oldies like me .

They also confirmed, they don't need any tracker devices if the car is garaged overnight and valued at lower than £60K :)

That is the law actually, as you are not allowed to discriminate. Just like "Sheila's wheels" insure men, but at a very inflated premium to discourage it.

Oh indeed, the law it may be but insurers are very good at bending rules to serve self interest, as i'm sure many of us will have experienced.

Very true. It will be interesting to see what they do with the anti discrimination law for girls / boys of 17 years. Doubt they will reduce the boys premiums but will raise the girls ones ...

SAGA's quote to me when I became 'eligible' last October was a lot higher than I currently pay now with Aviva. It may of course be because my other half is almost 12 years younger than me.
