Just buy whatever and be done with it.

If you do it often enough (as I tend to) your wife will get used to it, mega bucks wheels, camera lenses etc etc. You also have to remember the female sex totally understand that we are stupid and will spend money on things we don't really need!

Take for example the pair of headrest screens I bought over the weekend. We have a 4 year old and a 12 week old.......why buy two screens?

Because I'm a bloke and that's what we do!

My wife never noticed the 20's I put on mine - I was out for the WHOLE day getting them - got back at 1am!

Next day, not a sniff!

So I get a skid pan - 'does it make the car go faster' -

My Missus = "Can we book a holiday sometime soon?"

Me = "Can't really afford it at the moment, this house is killing my bank account at the moment"

Next day, a knock at the door... £2,500 worth of TV and Speakers for the bathroom

Missus comes home and sees the boxes. Before she opens her mouth I had already said "Shall we look at holidays?"

I have got used to it now, what ever I buy for myself it costs me double because I have to buy her something to keep the peace... she buys something and I have to tell her that its nice!

I put 20's on mine waited 3 weeks for a comment. Nothing. I had to ask her notice anything different on the car. Nothing. Look at the wheels. Oh I thought there was something different. I preferred the 5 spoke.

Flip it round...

Next time she gets her hair done, don't say a thing, then when she says "don't you notice anything different" reply "nothing" and then she tells you she has had her hair done, just say "I thought you looked a bit different, preferred it before"

I bet the reaction is alot different to how you were about your wheels!
