Should be about 7 - 730 pm when I get back that way again, depending on when the client has had enough of my droning voice :)

Yep, looks lovely. If I was "downsizing" I'd definitely consider it :)

Just a little update having done 500 miles now.

Overall I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this car.

Fantastically quick
Very economically - I have probably been averaging 40-45mpg, I reset the computer to go from home to watford today and saw 48mpg as an average.
Very quiet
Pretty good ride considering the Dynamic Pack including 19" wheels. I took my old man out the other day who is normal super critical of bad riding cars and he was almost completmentary which is rare for him towards a BMW !
Sports Auto is very good. Has proper paddles like an M Car does as opposed to silly buttons which are so difficult to use. Changes gear when you tell it unlike the last E60 530d Sport with normal Auto did. Very smooth changes.
Love the styling and I think this is the best one I have seen on the road so far. I think the light colour suits it

Faults
- wet weather traction is very poor. I have seen the traction control light too many times without really trying. I don't remember my remapped 535d being this bad. Maybe something to do with the power/torque delivery of the single turbo vs the twin turbo?
- there is a really annoying rattle somewhere. Haven't bothered to find out what it is, I've just turned the radio up! (which is also very good given that it has the standard speakers!)

If I wanted this type of car again I would be very tempted. The Audi A6 is well past its sell by date (new one I on the way next year), the new E seems pretty good (drove my friends E350CDI at XMAS), and the Jag is nice but I thought parts of the interior were quite poor, but I would definately choose this over those though.

Couple of cleaner pics from a different angle for you

I will have a look at that F11 when it comes at the dealers, and do want to test drive one.

Very nice 535dboy although TS would not be my first choice. Had a look at an F11 at the local dealer lash week. 530d with slightly more spec, cost on the road £50K :-o damn thats a lot of money but did look very nice in BS with Oyster/Black interior. I see the 520d is now 183bhp inpressive stuff, surely nobody will be buying petrol versions?

Hope you enjoy your few days with it.

A question for 535d boy: how does the F10 530d compare to the E60 535d?

I have the E60 535d & am waiting delivery of a F11 530d, but although the torque & bhp are lower, the 0-60 time is improved, but I am expecting the more relevant in gear performance not to be at the same level.

I would really appreciate your thoughts & comments.

Many thanks

Rob

Hi and Welcome !

My 535d went over 3 years ago so like for like difficult (and my 535 was remapped) but overall from what I remember you really will not be disappointed with your new wheels, the single turbos have moved on a lot.

Many thanks, I was really concerned the F11 530d would not have the same grin factor as my E60 535d (standard map).
