Following on my last post a while ago i have had the gearbox rebuild & the clutch slip has gone, but the jerk from down change from 2nd to 1st is very slightly there, my partner has driven the car & said it is not there (her car) & the whistle under load is there. I am calling the company who did it tomorrow.
Could it still be due a software update?
What else could it be?
Any help welcome?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Update on gearbox
The downchange to first can be a bit 'abrupt', but only slightly. Has the tranny had a software reload/update as part of the rebuild? You could also try the adapt reset where (with the engine off) you fully depress the throttle, turn the key to Pos2 (don't start the car) and hold the pedal down for 30 secs. Turn off the ignition and release the pedal. Then start normally. It can take up to a month for the box to 'relearn' everything depending upon the mileage driven.
No idea about the whistle. Unless of course it's the turbo?

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
