Post by Beemer » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:17 pm

Hi ,

I am looking for a good workshop manual for doing my own maintance to the x5

I have a wirring soung comming from the front drivers side wheel ,which i suspect is either a wheel bearing on its way out

or possibly a C.V. joint .

Haynes dont seem to do a manual ,so can anyone else recomend a good one .

Thanks Guys

The only manual I have ever seen is published in the USA by Bentley. It covers all of the petrol models in LHD only, but none of the diesels.

I ended up sourcing a copy of the BMW service system which can be found on ebay etc. It means using a computer and it is not ideal as some of the links built in do not work. Other than that, you will need to ask the membership of this forum, or others, to see what we can come up with to help out. And before you ask, no I have not yet had the pleasure of a wheel bearing replacement.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
