Apple did the upgrade on mine, and the guy saud wait until the iPad2 had been out for a couple of weeks before doing any more updates on our other Apple devices. I'm going to do the rest when we get back later his month.
One thibg I did find when downloading the updates, was that the virus checker would hang the download right at the end! I always turn it off now and have not had a problem since. Some AV software causes issues with te Apple verification system, hence crashing it out at the last bit.
I keep copies on the server to allow one download to do all the machinery, rather than one per device - which at 600MB at a time is a lot (we have 2 phones and 2 ipads). SWMBO wanted her own, even though I offered to share...
