Radiator Top Hose Question

Hi :D

I've got a large split in the top hose of the radiator. See part 1 from real oem:

Is there any way of just replacing the main (fattest) section of pipe or do I need to replace the lot? It's also not just held on by jubilee clips like I was hoping! Has anyone replaced this part and is it easy enough?

I would replace the whole pipe, its easy to change if a bit fiddly trying to release the snap connectors

I replaced mine, easy enough and about £45.00 from memory.
3.0d Sport. Xenons,Tv/sat,Blinds,DVD Headrests,sidesteps,mudflaps,DSP,Walnut trim,softer leather,heated seats,remap,automatic,Oval exhaust upgrade, death ray and rockets.
Previous car; E46 M3 Convertible SMG.

I've got the part and im going to have a go at replacing it myself. Any tips on how to get the old one off??

I use an angle grinder to do this kind of job and then replac with normal jubilee clips,
this method works very well for me

All sorted!

Was a bit fiddly and ended up with grazed knuckles but the X is back on the road.

Part was £64.01 from BMW...

For future reference i found it easier to unclip and remove the Air flow meter housing and air box to get better access to the Top hose. Strange thing happened when I first started the car up tho as the temp. gauge rose to the normal level for about 2 seconds and then went off the scale! Disconnected the battery for ten minutes and the problem has gone.... just incase any one has the same problem. :thumbsup:
