Re: Heated seats
I think someone on here (Peter?!) did this a while back and documented it on the previous site.
Dont take this as gospel, but iirc I think you have to completely replace the seats with heated ones as the elements are in the seats themselves.
I am sure others on here will recall better than I and clarify this.
Sorry I couldnt be of more assistance.

Re: Heated seats
Seems my memory isnt as bad as I thought. Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=492&hilit=heated+seats
"petert" did retrofit, but went the route of complete new seats and door cards purchased from eBay.
It is not a simple case of retrofit kit as no such thing exists.
HTH.

Re: Heated seats
I've retrofitted OEM heated seats - see the how to section from October 2010.

Re: Heated seats
That's right. Seats are the expensive bit. I think the switch module is only around 150 quid(!)

Re: Heated seats
You could try one of these.. http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/de ... mer/37077/ plug it into the cigarette lighter and position it at the seat, even comes with a timer so you could set it to come on before you got in the car.
