Hi all just bought my second x5 but it has no heated seats my last one did and I love em my question is can the be fitted ????

I think someone on here (Peter?!) did this a while back and documented it on the previous site.
Dont take this as gospel, but iirc I think you have to completely replace the seats with heated ones as the elements are in the seats themselves.

I am sure others on here will recall better than I and clarify this.

Seems my memory isnt as bad as I thought. Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=492&hilit=heated+seats

"petert" did retrofit, but went the route of complete new seats and door cards purchased from eBay.

It is not a simple case of retrofit kit as no such thing exists.

You can retro fit them look on fleabay there are kits on there

I've retrofitted OEM heated seats - see the how to section from October 2010.

That's right. Seats are the expensive bit. I think the switch module is only around 150 quid(!)

You could try one of these.. http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/de ... mer/37077/ plug it into the cigarette lighter and position it at the seat, even comes with a timer so you could set it to come on before you got in the car. :)
