Now that I've finally found the right colour and finish for me, I suppose I'll have to answer in the affirmative. :)

Wheel refurb. Powdercoat or paint?

I've now given all 4 wheels 3 coats of PoorBoys wheel sealant, and dressed the tyres. :) ...............Ready to go on the car in emergency*, or next winter - whichever come first.

*V-rated tyres can only have one repair. One of the set has already had one puncture. Another one in the same tyre and it's game-over for the whole set. :(

Wheel refurb. Powdercoat or paint?

Sorry for dragging this thread out again, after three-and-a-half years............

Despite having only been on the car for three winters, the wet-painted silver finish on the Style 305s (see page 5) hasn't held-up particularly well. Certainly not as well as the satin gunmetal on the Borbet 5-spokes. :( They are booked-in next week for yet another refurb., in satin gunmetal powdercoat.

So, yes, from these experiences I'm now 100% converted to powdercoat just as long as it isn't high-gloss finish.
