Destination / nav listings.

Post by Nine468 » Fri Jul 11, 2025 11:25 am

Just though ide post this hear to see if anybody else has had this ,,,issue..

On my last X5 ie 3rd gen, the destinations that I had saved in the nav were listed in alphabetical order. Very easy to access.

BUT,

In my latest car 4th gen G05 they destinations seem to be listed in most used order, and I cant seem to find a way of sorting the order out to be alphabetical.

Has anybody else had this issue and can assist, in my ocd...

Which version of idrive has it got? Latest version is 8.5 or possibly 9.0 (depends upon model year).

On idrive 8 the manual suggests that to change the sorting one selects the Navigation Menu, select Destinations, Press & Hold the desired menu item and then select “Re-sort list”. It might be the same on later versions. Idrive 8 came with the widescreen display panels now ubiquitous in most BMWs.

Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
My car is a 23 plate , and has the pre widescreen display. So it isnt the "facelift" version.

I also have a 2019 Z4 M40i which has the same issue. :driving: :driving:

I shall try your suggestion and report back.
Thanks....

Idrive 7 for the G05 then. Not sure of the Z4, but you could ask in our sister forum
