F25 heating problem

Post by TrickyMickey » Tue Feb 18, 2025 8:05 pm

Hi I have recently bought a 2013 F25 , and due to the cold weather I have noticed the drivers side of the car does not get hot or even warm . I have checked the fuses associated the heating system , all checked out ok . So decided to take it back to the dealer I bought the car from . He has the dash out and can see the blend motors are working , and even recalibrated them . Has anyone have any experience of this problem . This is my third F25 and havent really had any problems . Any suggestions would be helpful !

F25 heating problem

Have picked up the car today from the dealers , the heater matrix has been renewed . This was gummed up , probably because different types of antifreeze has been used . Due to the orientation of the matrix , heat was unable to get to the drivers side !. Obviously a dashboard out job ,and quite a wait for the matrix from BMW , as on backorder !. A good flushing to clean the sysem out , and the correct BMW Antifreeze used to finish off .

Glad you’ve got it sorted. The bill must have been frightening though!

A tip with BMWs is to also only use their screen wash. Others seem to result in the pumps getting gunged with bacterial growth.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
