Still not LED brightness of course, but they are white, not candle yellow. I'll get some better images asap. I just grabbed this one while still in the garage.

Not bad. Amongst the better ones I’ve seen. The inner one always seems better than the outer for some reason. I’ve not seen a lamp taken to bits to why what the challenge is for the outer light pipe.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.-
