Not sure what the internal for changing those parts is but if you have them already it makes sense to swap them , 9 years is a long time even if the car hasn't went that far its probably seen a lot of short journeys and heat cycles over the years.

Well I took the X5 out today after eventually selling the Audi Q7 (see other thread I did) and it performed ok. It’s like an old glove that I just get in and go. It feels very similar to the Audi which was 10 years younger apart from heavier steering.
In front of me in some traffic was an Audi RS6 estate which looked and sounded awesome with enormous twin tailpipes.
Maybe I should find a Q7 4.2 petrol instead of the diesel I had…
