Hi folks.
Im getting closer to trading in my current 2016 plate X5 40d, and am looking at a 30d/40d GO5..2019 onwards
BUT.
Im in a quandary as to ether to get a early version or the facelift version..
I notice the facelift version has a revised dashboard layout.? BUT does it have a newer idrive.
I am not overly keen on the look of the later cars dash layout, preferring the early version. Not that i have driven one yet.
Has anybody here moved from an early GO5 to a later GO5, and what are your findings.??
Good, Bad or indifferent.??
The later car seems to come in better colours, I am NOT a big fan of Davit grey, [too dark], preferring the later skyscraper grey.
And the Blue,s on the early cars is very dark..
Black and white are no go,s for me....
Lastly it seems there are more 30d,s on the market...[Therefore a greater choice of colours and options]. I realise its a subjective question, but,, would i miss the extra power the 40d has over the 30d.??
Hey ho, decisions decisions..
PS i had contemplated a Volvo XC90, but they only come in max 2 liter , so not really what i want.
Hope somebody can advise me . Thanks.

Early GO5 or later GO5.??
Hey there! It sounds like you've got some great options on your plate with the BMW GO5 models. If you're feeling torn between the early and later versions, consider test driving both to see which one feels like the best fit for you. It's totally understandable to have preferences when it comes to the dash layout and colors - after all, you're the one who will be spending time in the car. As for the power difference between the 30d and 40d, if you enjoy the extra kick the 40d offers, you might miss it in the 30d. Ultimately, go for the one that aligns best with your preferences and driving needs. Good luck with your decision-making process! Feel free to reach out
