Air leak? Any split hoses?

What error codes are showing?

That error code covers a number of issues. Did you inadvertently move any wiring, or even not plug something in (it wouldn’t be the first time one of us has done that)? Check from the throttle valve back into the ECU for continuity.

Yeah, I went over my work almost at the point of removing the air intake.
Then I discovered that throttle and pedal can be misaligned which can call for a recalibration/adaptation.

Newtis says 📢...

Note:

A faulty throttle valve adjusts the adaptation values stored in the DME control unit. These adaptation values need to be reset after replacing the throttle body.

Delete adaptation value:

Connect DIS Tester

Select vehicle type

Select "Digital Motor Electronics MS43", carry out brief vehicle test

Continue by pressing bottom right arrow

The "Fault pattern selection" window appears.

Select the "Function selection" (bottom left)

The "Function and component selection" window appears:

Select ”Service functions”

Select "drive"

Select "Digital Motor Electronics"

Select "Reset adaptations"

Select "Test plan" (bottom left)

The "Test plan" window appears. Select "Reset adaptations"

Continue by pressing bottom right arrow

Further procedures according to DIS instructions.

After the first engine start, the new adaptation values are set in the DME control unit.

Very handy….but you probably wished you’d known that before cursing up a storm!

Had a little time to run a Foxwell scan.
I can get the car started soundly. But the idel is horrible! Engine
keeps trying at constantly attempting to get the right idel...up and down, up and down. Still uncontrollable.
Now the scanner yields, (see pics)

D35b is a DSC error with a sensor.

2786/2787 looks like a throttle sensor or potentiometer issue

Have you had a look at bmwfault.codes as a reference site? Might help you a bit.
