Never thought i would consider such a thing but a change of circumstances (marital separation) has made me think again. The only reason is probably laughable to some.
My garage will accommodate the X6 but its a very tight squeeze and needs supervision. I wont have this facility any more, so a downsize may be necessary. No specific reason for an X1 tbh. I assume its based on a 2 or 3 series platform? Id revert to petrol now deisel is demonised and a 2ltr i imagine.
Any owners here care to share their X1 experiences?

The original X1 is the same platform as the 1-series/Mini Countryman. The later X1, 1 & 2 series & Countryman are also an adaptation of the next generation (CLAR) underpinnings I believe, hence them being a bit larger. If you want space, then the 2-series Gran Tourer is pretty good. We had the 7-seater in from 2018 to 2022 and it’s surprisingly roomy. If you can, get the B-series engines. The 2-litre N-series were known for timing chain failures across all models that used them (1,2,3,4,5 series, X1).

We had one of these…..
2-litre diesel (B47), xDrive with FWD as the priority, Aisin (Toyota) 8-sp auto. Petrol version uses same kit.

Nice but not my kind of car, nor my kind of budget. I'll likely look at Subaru if i do anything non BMW. I have fond and good memories of the two i have owned.
