Engine differences

Hi hi guys can anyone help with this please, I have a 330d m57 engine code 30 6d 3 that needs an engine would a x5 330d engine code 30 6d 1 ??
Or can someone tell what 3 mean and the 1 means please??

A 306D1 version of the M57 is the first generation M57 30D unit with 186bhp rather than the later 204/211bhp variant. There may be differences with the bell housing as that version was used with a 5 speed gearbox.

You’d need the ECU from it as well.
