Hi all. When engaging reverse gear, one of my front sensors thinks it's next to something (when it isn't). It's a continuous sound, so it thinks something is *very* close. It doesn't tend to happen when it's raining.
I've just been quoted £159 by BMW for a diagnostics check then of course, there could be a another cost to fix.
Has anyone on here had this issue, or have any ideas on how to fix it?
It's a 69 plate X1.
Thanks in advance!

Depends upon which sensor? The outer ones may be part of the fog light trim, in which case that needs to come off and it’s a simple swap. If it’s an inner one then the bumper needs to come off and then again it’s a swap out for the transducer.
Sounds like BMW Diagnostics have got even more pricey!

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
