HELP!!!

Post by jyeager524 » Tue Nov 28, 2023 1:52 am

Where to start, okay, I purchased a used 2016 X1 in mid July. When I went to test drive it i was told it was in the garage at the actual BMW dealer getting a 128 point inspection. Needless to say I found out later it was being repaired, still have no idea what was being done. So I get it, day two it feels like a wheel is wobbling, I take it in they say nothing is wrong. It starts clunking over bumps so I take it back and they replaced the right engine mount and said that was the problem but I continued the clunk so then I took it back in and told him that they had to look at the wishbones because that’s what I read which both my control arms lower control arms were bad and now I got it back and it is bearing to the right bad like I have to fight it to keep it straight. They said there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s been in five times now since mid July does anybody have any idea what this could be?

HELP!!!

I would have said reject the car but i think you might have had it too long now.
Think your best bet is to take it to a local if you have one BMW independent garage as it needs somebody that knows what they are doing.
Only problem there is you will have to foot the bill but you could ask the seller first if they would chip in.

HELP!!!

As above, get it to someone who knows what they’re looking at, preferably a main dealer to get a report on what’s wrong. If not then at least to a BMW Specialist. Whereabouts in the country are you?
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
