Hi I have E70 diesel import from Japan. Does anyone have any idea on how to tune TV from Japanese channels to UK channels. Really wish we hadn't sold our old E53 miss the TV it was a god send on days when she wanted to go shopping. Please can someone help me Christmas shopping days are looming they are purgatory .

I could be wrong, (hope i am) but i think the tuners are different and may need replacement. Japanese spec Subarus have issues with TV, Nav and radios for example when imported.

Likewise a UK domestic TV won't work in Europe.

As said above, the TV frequencies are completely different as is their broadcast standard (ISDB-T whereas ours is DVB-T), so you’ll need to source a UK TV tuner module. It’s not something you can alter with a bit of coding.

BMW Prt number is: 65509240643 The same part is used in a number of BMWs.

New ones are still available but are well north of £1k each, and that’s not from BMW.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
