Sports Seats - uncomfortable

Post by H4MP » Sun Jul 09, 2023 3:29 am

Is it just me, I find the sports Seats in the E70 X5 m sport alot more comfortable. Never had a complaint in my 35d E70 but the sports Seats in the F15 are pretty damn uncomfortable.

Not had the experience myself.

Comfort seats are 'better' imo, in any iteration 😎

Sports Seats - uncomfortable

I haven't had any experience of the F15. But I can say that swapping the comfort seats in my E30 for sport seats was a mistake - I ended-up putting Recaros in that one. 8)
I preferred sport seats in the E46, though.
Can't remember if I tried an F25 with comfort seats, but the sport seats in mine are a bit on the hard side. If I'm doing a long journey I have a piece of memory foam I sit on, which helps a bit.

Ooops, my mistake. Was half asleep - eyes mustn't have been working properly. I was convinced the post was 5 years old.

Sports Seats - uncomfortable

Post by X5Sport » Sun Jul 09, 2023 9:00 am

I know it’s not in the same ‘class’ as the F15, but I found the sport seats fitted to our F46 (2-series) 7-seater uncomfortable as well. I opted for ‘M’ seats (not the Carbon Fibre version!) in the i4 and those are much better. Side bolsters are adjustable as is the lumbar support.

Comfort seats in my X6 are very good but not available ‘below’ the 5-series.

I had a Merc 190E rental for a few weeks back in the 80s and the seats in that were harder than a church pew!
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

I thought naturally it will be an improvement over the E70 which were extremely comfortable, I always sunk in to them after a long day at work. These gave me and my oapssenger back pain. And we are not too ancient 41 and 40 years old.

I don't do many long trips in my E71, but i have had comfort seats in previous BMWs, never had any ill-effects. Never a back ache or numb derriere. 👍
