You’re going to need the error codes scanned in order to narrow it down to what the car isn’t happy about.
Could be a damaged wire to the injectors, either on one of the connector plugs (look for corrosion) or the connector not fully home. Losing three suddenly is unusual and points at something else, hence needing the error codes.
No sign of fuel leaks, or a strong smell of fuel (or smoke) on first start? I’m just wondering whether the pressure is dropping in the fuel rail due to something like an injector leak (need to do a ‘leak-off’ test to check for an injector nor sealing between power strokes).
No warning messages around injection other than ‘injectors 3/46’ (which I can’t find anything for so could be a typo?).

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

A smotth running test or as said a leak off test would tell you about how good your injectors are. The trouble with common rail is one bad one tends to effect the pressure going to the others.

Sounds like the piezo is on its way out...happended on my X6, kept doing the same as yours is...new injector required Im afraid.

The code I get now is 0042FB
Description:
Injectors bank 2, control
I have done an ohms test injector 1,2,3,4,6, are 183-184 and injector 5 is 120-140 so I take it this could be the problem?

That seems to be your problem.....are you using a generic scanner as a BMW designated one will tell you which number injector is bad....but looks like No5.....most of the time its 5 or 6

I am using the Carly scanner but I am looking into changing this as the injector will need coding anyone got ideas for a good scanner / coder ?

I had an injector fall on me was running really rough. It happened at the worst time, I couldn't complain though as I had 190k miles on clock and im assuming it only happened due to using asda fuel.

Why blame Asda fuel? I think its a total myth its inferior. The various supermarkets don't have their own refineries so they source it from "the market".

Its just they have a higher proportion of biodiesel, and less additives.

Myth or no myth when my hpfp went the company who tested it said the filters was clogged and traces of metal filings and it had failed mainly due to cheap supermarket fuel so vpower only for me now I’d use bp ultimate aswell but none local to me

The rear 2 injectors ( 5 and 6) are susceptible to filling with water around them if the cowel at the back either side above the master cylinder on drivers side splits which is very common .Mine was cemetery split and I could only get a new one at about 120 quid , : still cheaper than injectors though
I'm sure Carl can do a smooth running test to pinpoint the correct faulty one so I'd want to do that first and expect it to be a right pain to remove if water has got in .
