What's it worth?

Post by Jayx5 » Sat Jun 18, 2022 7:39 am

Morning everyone, as I've recently sold my caravan my x5 will be going up for sale, as we don't need a big car anymore and the wife's new job involves a bit of travel so need something cheaper to run.
The price of these seem to be varied, what would you put it up for?

I normally use we buy any car or the Motorway and add 20%, that'll give you a rough idea, however in this current market you can maybe be add 30%

Sounds reasonable but I suspect the market for thirsty 4x4's isn't quite as strong as it was 6 months ago :driving:

My x5 sold this morning for £8800, I'm really pleased, I only paid £10000 for it 4 years ago.
I've now bought a 70 reg mercedes b220 as the wife has a new job with a comute so needed a car better on fuel and easier to park, happy wife happy life :D

That’s not bad at all. Used car values have stayed high and although there’s been some resetting, the situation is likely to be that way for a little while, more if fuel starts to drop a bit more. It’s down £0.07ppl here. Still scary but not as bad as 2-weeks ago. 86-litres is an ouch! I remember my E53 being 90+.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

My little transit connect van is £97 to fill up now :o £50 in the x5 would barely move the needle.
The guy who's bought is flying in from Turkey and then driving it straight back :o 3000 miles with a roof box, it's gonna cost him a fortune in diesel.

The used prices at the moment are crazy, I sold my caravan for the same amount I paid for it brand new 5 years later, I had so much interest in it aswell.
