Fuel filter heater control

Post by pcdee » Tue Jun 28, 2022 7:50 am

Morning all

I scanned the beast to find a fuel filter heater control error 4b1c.

I cleared it and it came back a week later, from what I've read although there's not much on the topic it's really needed for very cold climates.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

If the air temp goes below about -10°C you can get ice crystals in the fuel that block the filter. The heater is attached to the filter itself.

Would it be this part?

Comes with a fuel strainer. I suppose I'd better get one just in case we get a freak winter.

Have a look underneath to be certain (or check with a dealer parts team - then order elsewhere to get it cheaper).
