Does anyone know what the latest software version is for sat nav in iDrive, car is a 2013 X3 (if that matters?).

I think the firmware (if available) is updated when a new map is loaded into the car via the USB ports. If not then there may be a version update in the Owners Area on BMW UK website. You need the VIN from the car and it will tell you the latest version available to download.
I’ve never seen new versions since the days of the Mk4 Nav systems when we needed a special disk. These days it’s all in the iDrive computer.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
