New owner & new to the forum

Post by ROI354 » Mon Apr 11, 2022 11:41 am

Hello all, just introducing myself as a new owner - well, husband of the actual owner... - of a 2018 MSport 40d
My wife is taking delivery of the car this week from Barretts BMW in Ashford and we can't wait to have it home!

Chances are I'll be asking a few questions as we've not had an X5 before although I have recently owned an F06 640d GC (similar engine but 2014 with no AdBlue), and this will be our 8th BMW over the years.

Regards,
Rob

:hi: to the forum, I have the same model x5, and so far (4 years) it’s been one of the best cars I have owned, ticks most of the boxes for me, load lugger, caravan tower, great performance and handling and fairly economical.

Hope you enjoy your new motor.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

My first question might not even be a thing...
When searching we found some 40d M Sport models and also some M40d, are they the same or is it a spec thing?

It’s a ‘spec thing’. The 40d is the model (3-litre, twin turbo) and the M Sport is a trim fitted to it.
