Absolutely loving my new (to me) 2017 M50D, a fine upgrade from my old 2004 model!
However, one thing that is bugging me is that she hasn't come with painted brake callipers? Everywhere else the M badge is on show around the car, and with the top spec the car has, along with the performance ,seems its missing out a bit. I have seen other X5 models such as the 40D models with the blue painted callipers with M logo.
Was this an optional extra for the M50D models? Had a look on Autotrader and it would seem others don't have them either.

I think this may have come later. Many models have them now as an option at build (often as part of a pack) and with a cost. I think they were standard if you ordered or retrofitted the M Performance parts. You may be able to still get them from BMW or paint them yourself. Current price for OEM Part is more than €800 each.
