New to X5
Hi, got my first X5 just before Christmas and enjoying it so far, also enjoying this forum.
Not sure if it's possible, but can the remote boot open leave the car doors locked? Previous cars you could pop the boot (trunk) put stuff in and close then all the car is locked secure. Unless I have got it wrong, with the X5 I have to lock the car again as all the doors are unlocked.
Thanks
Steve

I can't open the boot on my F25 unless the doors are unlocked. TBH, the boot button is a bit pointless as I haven't got auto boot lifting.

Interesting scenario which I've never thought about before.
If a car has keyless entry would this still apply? Key in pocket, touch locks to open, doors or boot. I dont think the car will lock if a key is inside.
Suppose i should check with a second key

Indeed it won’t. Our 2er with keyless will not allow the car to lock with a key inside, even if the other key is with the person locking the door. My long gone Škoda Superb was the same. Key within? No lock!sapphireblack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 6:38 pm If a car has keyless entry would this still apply? Key in pocket, touch locks to open, doors or boot. My X6 (not keyless) will however allow the car to lock in the situation where I lock the car with the boot (or bonnet) open and then close them. The car will immediately fully lock and if the key is still within……oops! Not done it with the X6 (but did with the X5).
…..and to the OP,
