Fuel prices rising by the week now it seems

Post by X5Sport » Sun Sep 26, 2021 10:09 am

Yesterday it was reported that there was an incident locally on the A1 when two ‘white vans’ jumped the queue and then got arsy with those in the queue who complained. It was also reported locally that vans are turning up with multiple 50L plastic drums in the back that they wanted to fill too. Selfish or what?

I managed to get fuel at Tesco this morning though diesel was about to run out just after 0900 and they’d had two full tanker loads yesterday and overnight. The smaller stations around us are all closed with no fuel. Bigger ones are fine though, especially for petrol.

The selfish pratt's will have all there can's full soon so it will be back to normal.
Only BP with a shortage of drivers.
Doris J has said he is thinking of army drivers what a prat he is causing the panic buying all on his own.

Just cancelled our caravan holiday to Peterborough, given the current situation will rebook when a little common sense prevails, either that or everyone has full tanks, so plenty in the garages who may then return prices to normal(ish)

Just been to my local for a post-holiday re-fill. It's now at £1.419, having been at £1.379 last week.

Diesel is around £1.48 a litre in the local town, £1.38 in Derby city, but seems to be plenty about this morning.

Diesel is still an issue around here and runs out very fast, petrol not so bad (especially ‘Super’ types), 135.9 at local Sainsbury’s, but 143.9 at local Texaco. Both were busy but no sign of queuing.

In (now not so sunny) Greece, its 1.409€ regular and 1.499€ for super. I'll be UK bound soon and hoping Bojo and Co have sorted the delivery issues in the next couple of weeks.

We're away on our annual pilgrimage to the wilds of Scotland next Saturday, for a week. The F25 would possibly just about get us where we're staying and back home again on a full tank, so I'll need at least one fill-up while we're away. Probably best to get it - if I can - at the last opportunity before arriving at the property on Saturday afternoon.
I topped-up twice while we were away, both times in Brechin. Saturday they had diesel and super unleaded but no regular, Tuesday they only had diesel.

I found a marvellous way to save on fuel. Get a lift on the back of an AA truck :)

Costco is good for fuel…..but our nearest is nearly 20 miles away which doesn’t save much when fuelling the X6 :o

Same sort of distance for me but I fill up at every opportunity when going nearby on my various travels, especially when you take into account that’s it’s a super diesel rather than standard.
