Be nice - but it's not yet available in the UK. Currently only France & Germany. Germany I can understand, but France.......? :?

Although the BMW iPad mount has not yet appeared, you can now use the tethering facility on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 (as long as you have the facility enabled by your network provider) with IOS 4.3 installed and get your iPad to talk to your iPhone via WiFi/Bluetooth and use the iphone to send the data back and forth. If you have the basic Iphone cradles in the car too then you will be connected to the sharkfin antenna as well.

Orange want to charge me an extra £5 a month for 500MB should I wish to avail myself of the tool.

Have a look at Next Base for their iPad fitting. http://www.nextbase.co.uk/products/Next ... on%29.html I can't say for sure that this is the same one BMW are talking about, but the Rear DVD system BMW are pushing at present (£299) is provided by the same people. Their mount is due out around the end of April, early May.
