TRANSFER GEAR BOX PROBLEM
TRANSFER GEAR BOX PROBLEM
Hello dear forum colleagues. I have a BMW x3 E83, year 2008, 2.0d engine, 177 c.p., automatic gear box 6HP. The car has changed timing, gearbox oil and gearbox, group oils, everything original. I have a problem that stresses me, namely a noise in the transfer case, at start-up, regardless of whether the engine is hot or cold. I put it on the elevator and, at the transfer box, there is a click, as if it were engaging something and the gimbal moves a little, it makes a short rotation of a few degrees, then it returns to the initial position. The mechanic says it wouldn't be a problem ... but I don't agree. Do you have a solution, have you encountered the problem and how it was solved. Thank you very much for your kindness in reading my post.

Try sending a PM to kkx5 on here. He’s a transmission expert.
