I doubt that. My wife has the uncanny knack of remembering the slightest detail from the most insignificant comment from the beginning of time, even though she never remembers to put the drivers seat back....

I had the pleasure of building a superbike engined kitcar a few years back (Honda Super Blackbird 1100cc lump surrounded by a load of CF and nothing much else - was totally evil). So my garage is pretty much totally equipped with many tools I may never have to use again, or which will be brought out into the daylight just once every few years for a 5 mminute usage. Ones not mentioned thus far are a decent compressor for topping up tyres and powering any airtools you may have, and a mig welder for those moments of individual design. It's surprising how often I find a use for the welder actually. And I second the 'decent' torque wrench argument.

Used to have CBR1100XX, have a huge compressor, mig welder, spray guns, air tools, torque wrenches and so on and so on, just wish I knew how to use them lol. Seriously, I use the compressor all the time, the welder more than I thought and other bits when required. Glad someone else has a full garage, and I can still fit the x in

If you do a lot of metal bar cutting,suggest an electric saw, mine cost Â£150 will cut through an inch thick with ease. also has lube pump.

On a related topic, my car (X5 3.0D) has been jump-started by two different dealers using a portable jump-starter unit, so I am thinking such units definitely exist. Unfortunately I never got the make/models at the time.
