Morning all,
I really should have done something about this at the weekend, but my MOT is booked for tomorrow.
Each time I start the car, I get a warning saying rear fog light failure, however it does work. I was going to change it tonight, but don't have the manual with me, what bulb type is it? 2011 LCI model if it matters

Its probably water getting in and corroding the contacts on the bulb holder as the seals were a known weak point , mine was popping up the same alarm and when i removed the holder you could see some condensation and the starting of rust in there on my x5. Prise of the little flap on the tailgate and you can remove the holder.

Lights.....assuming it isn’t in the bumper like the X6?

Just had a quick look, albeit in the dark, but couldn't see anything obvious, just the close handles. Looks like the entire panel would need to come off. I'll need to take a proper look later.Leslie wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2020 11:32 am Its probably water getting in and corroding the contacts on the bulb holder as the seals were a known weak point , mine was popping up the same alarm and when i removed the holder you could see some condensation and the starting of rust in there on my x5. Sorted. Removed the bulb and cleaned up the carrier, definitely some water related corrosion, but working now
Hopefully it passes the MOT now.

Hopefully it passes the MOT now.
