Feedback on a remap

Post by bonerp » Thu Mar 10, 2011 8:35 am

I have just had my 3.0d 218 remapped by Angel Tuning. I have used this firm around 6 times now on different (Alfa 156 JTD, Audi A4 TDi, BMW320d, BMW 330d, Subaru Impreza turbo, Audi a6 estate) cars (and +friends/colleagues) and always been impressed both by their service, price and finally what the remap does...

I'm sure most remaps are very similar from established firms...(?) so its down to personal choice I suppose - they were originally recommendaed on Alfa156.net. They always come to me and do it at work for a very good price. If I get 2/3 cars at the same time - which they did, they discount further too for all involved.

Pull from standstill has changed beyond belief. Was very sluggish from standstill being a huge auto. Midrange pull is much faster and all throughout the rev range, its much cleaner and more responsive. Feels confident/strong when needing that bit more during overtaking now.

But the best bit is that MPG has improved during normal/conservative driving - I'd hazard a guess at 2/3 mpg on rural roads. Not really tried on a motorway run yet.

Anys, anyone interested call Nigel 01926 614027 and tell him Paul from Swindon recommended them....

If this is stepping on sponsored tuners toes, apologies just giving feedback on a positive experience from a trusted firm.
