.... if you haven't changed it then I'd recommend it...
I bought a 2003 3.0D sport back in November and did it's first oil service a couple of Sundays ago, while I was at it, I also changed the breather from one of the old sponge filter ones to one of the new vortex style filters..
Prior to doing this when I stomped on the gas causing kick down I would get a reasonably dense cloud of exhaust fumes out the back...
Since replacing the breather this cloud has pretty much disappeared and 2 fillups later, the range on the computer has gone from a pretty steady 600ish miles per tank to 640ish miles per tank without changing driving style or typical routes...
If you are going to the trouble of changing the air filter then it's just an additional five minutes to swap out the breather so well worth the effort..
