Have you had the codes read, it could be several things, if it's the high pressure fuel pump it would have flagged a low rail pressure fault code, etc, or camshaft sensor will throw a code etc
Randomly changing parts will be a costly guessing game.

You will get the low pressure code if the battery is low.

Was it running okay prior then when you tried to start it...nothing?...if so it maybe an injector gone down....get yourself a can of easi-start blast loads in the in the airbox...if possible get someone to crank it over as you spray it in.....if she fires up and keeps going its probably injector 5 at a guess....

Injector 3 and 5 had gone in mine but my starting problem was only when it was hot.
It would start again if left for 10/15 minutes.
Code on mine was for low fuel pressure on start or startup.

You may have replaced the fuel pump but does it actually run now ie old one blew the fuse when it went faulty ? If you listen close to it you should be able to hear it for a few secs when ignition turned on ?

I'm guessing this car was very cheap as if it was a non runner Id be running the other way usually !!!!!!!!

Only reason I’m thinking it’s fuel related is because when I prime system I’m getting bubbles in fuel line from filter to high pressure pump so it’s not pressurised the diesel system looking for cheapest option only paid £400 with just under 80000 miles wouldn’t think injectors would go that early?maybe I could be wrong cheers for all your reply’s

Try the easi-start , if it doesnt fire up on that then its not an injector.

Does that pump just move fuel from one side to the other ?, heard of this on 3 series etc where if you have say half a tank of fuel it will run without it as the fuel can get across but on low fuel it needs the pump to get over the hump in the tank, was it low on fuel ?
