BMW extended warranty explanation
BMW extended warranty explanation
Can someone explain the above please. I may go and view a car that is from 2004 but apparently still has the bmw extended warranty on it. How does this work? What does it cost and would I be able to carry it over?
Re: BMW extended warranty explanation
As far as I am aware as long as the warranty has not lapsed and the car is bmw serviced then a new owner can continue with it.
My x6 is 7 years old with the extended warranty still running. How much you pay depends on what dirt of excess you want.
Mine is about a grand with 250 excess, so far I have had back more than I paid.....

Re: BMW extended warranty explanation
As far as I know the car does not need to be BMW dealer serviced to maintain the BMW Insured Warranty, as long as it is professionally serviced. My last car was serviced latterly by a small BMW specialist, and still had claims settled for the few warranty items needed at 7 years old. However, the warranty work itself has to be done by a BMW dealer.
Re: BMW extended warranty explanation
I extended my warranty on my 2004 E53 up until July when I sold it - was worth it for the work I had done, but pricey if you are buying a car of that age because that is what your budget allows.
