I'm swapping my door mirror as it got broken but the new one doesn't have the large plug on it. What does that do?

If you look underneath the mirror housing there should be a downlight. The plug is for that

Nope. The plug for the light is still in the housing.

I think it may be for auto dimming. If anyone can confirm..

I did mine recently so I should know but my memory must be fading! I think there was a big plug which is for the auto dimming, and another small plug or connection for the heating to stop it misting up, got mine from Latvia on eBay for £60, better than the £300 from the dealer :o
