Had a search and can only find references to when accelerating or braking. my issue is when coming to a complete stop a second or two later feels like rear axle thuds/ moves forward, as if someone bumped into back of car.
any ideas?

Its caused by the little marbles in the valve control body getting slightly stuck:

I had the same symptoms on a previous E53 (kept thinking someone had gone into the back of me!) and it turned out the be the rear subframe mounts.
