Hi,
First time X5 owner here so, thought I’d better join as I get the feeling I’m going to be needing advice from folks who are more knowledgable than me.
Picked up the beast last week. 2005, 4.4. Black and 106k on the clock. Full history, 000’s in receipts, well looked after. Fully loaded, nav, tv, pan roof etc. Done on average about 3k pa for the last 5 years. I get the feeling that it’s been a second car for someone.Very pleased so far. Only thing wrong at the moment is that it needs a parking sensor replacing.
This is my reward for stopping smoking so, let’s hope it gives me more pleasure than the fags did!

Hello and welcome
A couple of places to look (other than amongst the gang in here) for things is:
Realoem for part numbers (you need the last 7 characters of your VIN in the ‘Serial Number’ box to find your model.
Newtis.info is a copy of the official BMW service manual.
.......and well done for quitting too You’ll need the money for the fuel bill

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Hi X5Sport,
Thanks for the welcome and the information. Very useful! Know what you mean about paying for the fuel though. Mind you, well worth it just for the fun!
