Handbrake Switch

Hi all - long time lurker (I do have an X5 after all )

Anyway my handbrake switch has finally come off my 2007 E70 - I have the module without the autohold button (OEM 61319156133) however when trying to order a replacement, due to the tiny flimsy piece of plastic snapping off, I've found that it costs as much as 3 times the switch pack with the autohold (OEM 61319148508). A couple of the parts site seem to think these are compatible albeit i assume the autohold button will just be for decoration.

Does anyone know whether these two different part no.s are really compatible?

you could try posting your question in the E70 problems section, this is E53. hence i dont have a clue how to help you.
