Recently took ownership of a 2008 X5 E70 3.0 sd
I'm living in Adelaide, Australia.
Enjoying the car, but have a few electronic problems ( to be expected I suppose) of which I will outline in the appropriate section, other than that all good.

Congrats on your X5 and yes they can have a few electrical gremlins, but usually a lot are down to an ageing or low charged battery.
It's worth putting a post up of the problem as members should be able to help
