Messages in Outbox

Post by sapphireblack » Tue Mar 05, 2019 8:29 am

Why would messages sit in my outbox and not 'go'?

Getting more frustrated here now.

In my message folders if i check all in SENT for instance, then try to uncheck the ones i want to keep, it simply doesnt work. With all messages showing a blue tick (which requires two taps), i have to tap twice on one again which will uncheck one message, but when l touch another to uncheck it the previous one is reinstated.

Coupled with having to log in every visit, despite settings to the contrary and inverted picture loading, (i noticed another example of this on the interior trim thread) i'm drifting away from here as it appears others may have before me.

Sad, it was a good, interesting forum originally. Its hard work now and frustrating for me :(

You should not have to log in every time I don't.

Apologies for not replying sooner, I only just saw this topic.

PM messages stay in the Outbox until they are read by the recipient. Bit of a strange behaviour as it isn't the same as email outbox's, but that's just the way the software works. It's actually a useful mechanism when you get used to it as you can see when your message has been read, and until such time you can edit it.

As for logging in each time, that may be due to a few things and is likely because you were a member before the changeover.

These things should fix it for you (in order)

1. Delete any bookmarks you have for the site
2. Clear your cookies
3. Clear your browser cache
4. Browse to the forum manually (no bookmarks)
5. Login to the site (and select remember me) , and bookmark the site it you want

Those steps should mean that you no longer have to login each time.

Jim
