Hi all,
After a pretty horrible week already with an unplanned hospital stay, I come back out to find the TPMS sensor saying the rear Pirelli runflat is underflated 1.6
I do a quick check on the tyre and found that a screw was showing about 2 inches from the centre on the inside.
Obviously I will have to see if a local independent will fix it, but my question is, can I remove the screw myself (it is sticking out about half a cm from the tyre, or do I leave it in?
Anyone know of any nation wide tyres places that repair runflats if the puncture is not on the sidewall?

BMW themselves will repair runflats as long as the tyre has not been run on flat
I’d leave the screw in and proceed for repair
If you remove, you will lose pressure and risk the run on flat scenario.......
When the tyre is removed, as long as no debris is found to signify tyre has been run flat most places will repair...

I’d leave it in too - and did when this happened to me just before Xmas. It helps seal the hole (counter intuitive I know). I just re-inflated mine for a couple of days until I could get it fixed. No harm done.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Here in the UK, BMW themselves will never fix a runflat.
In the end, I got the tyre replaced. Didn't realise there was so many varients of Runflat Pzeros,. The g01 comes with K1 rated rears.

Some Dealers are only interested in the money and will tell you they aren’t fixable even though (depending upon where the puncture is & tread depth) they quite plainly are. It’s an industry problem and is why so many people have such little trust in the motor trade generally.

I believe, as long as there is no evidence of tyre being run on flat or damage to the internal carcase the tyre can be repaired allbeit a volcanised repair is performed...
The dealer is talking rubbish - dealers don’t make tyres!
